Augur Professional Services, Inc. is committed to a sustainable environment and has worked closely with some best in class not for profits as well as for profit organizations in the development of renewable energy programs.  We provide assistance to emerging green companies in the development of strategic plans which emphasize new media and in particular international campaigns.  Recently, we wrote the following presentation for a renewable energy event at the Haitian Embassy titled "Biofuels and Green Marketing".

Augur Professional Services, Inc. in cooperation with a variety of local organizations have formed an alliance to develop sustainability jobs in the area.  Click here to view the press release dated January 27, 2010 that details our first success.
 
Green Success! Sustainability Conferences
Augur, Eco-Coach and Synthesize Strategies managed the first in a series of mini conferences called Green Success! (DRAFT) on October 22, 2009 at Station 9 in DC.  The goals of the conference are to promote clean energy and to create awaress for same.  It will include a panel discussion and a networking event.  The event will include such organizations as:
 
  • Community IT Innovators (CITI) providers of green IT solutions.
  • Eco-Coach
  • The High Cloud Foundation
  • Synthesize Strategies

 We have a close working relationship with the High Cloud Foundation which includes environmental sustainability training as part of its humanitarian aid programs.  High Cloud operates around the world including Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

Green Business Assessments (Eco-Assessments)

Where is your organization in terms of sustainability or green business practices and where would you like to be?

 

We will review the current state of your business operations, including building services and management, if desired. Areas that can be reviewed include procurement (general and industry-specific), waste management, food operations, energy efficiency, and water consumption, among others.

 

Depending on the type of business and scope of work, this activity can range from a couple of weeks for a high-level review to a multiple month project that involves detailed interviews, process reviews, a cost/benefit analysis and resulting prioritized recommendations. We can also help you with implementing the desired steps once these have been identified.

 

Green Team Seminars

 

Do you need to set up a Green Team?  Have you set one upand aren't sure how to use it most effectively?  Do you need tools to help move you forward?  Is your Green Team losing momentum?

 

We can help your organization make its Green Team more effective through one-on-one support and Green Team seminars.

 

Eco-Assessments for SB NOW 'Certifiably Green Business' Program

Would you like to certify your business as a green business?  Do you need help to do this?

 

We have partnered with SB NOW to hlep your business get certified.  An eco-assessment will provide a benchmark for ybusiness to start tracking progress, as well as to determine where you stand against the certification requirements.  We will help you assemble a Green Team, develop a sustainability baseline, provide recommendations on short terms actions you can take to  become certified as well as longer term strategic steps that you may want to consider on your path to sustainability.

We are also a proud co-founder along with Synthesize Strategies, LLC of the Renewable Energy Working Group (REWG) which includes a working forum of relevant topics and resources.  The goals of the REWG are:

 
  • Advocacy - Promote renewable energy, to encourage governments to support sustainable energy efforts and to change policy and to provide grant funding in order to develop, maintain, promote, and implement value energy efforts.
  • Marketing - Raise awareness in the general publis as well as by government and other organizations and to promote positive policies and in regards to sustainable energy options.
  • Business Development - To assist each other with business development and funding through networking, sub-contracting, fundraising and networking.
  • Training - Provide members with training, networking events, and seminars in topics related to the field that help us to achieve our business goals.  (Marketing, Advocacy, Renewable Energy Forums, Business Development, Business Management).
  • Networking - Collaborate and network in synergy to achieve mutually beneficial business goals.
